Come with us to view the Glass Flower Exhibit at the Harvard Museum of Natural History. One of Harvard University’s most famous treasures is the internationally acclaimed Ware Collection of Blaschka Glass Models of Plants, better known as the “Glass Flowers”. This unique collection was made by Leopold and Rudolf Blaschka, a Czech father and son, over a period of fifty years. From 1886 to 1936 the Blaschka’s produced 4,300 glass models, representing 780 plant species.
